The red “Ø” label is a stamp of quality and a guarantee. This is a state-controlled label that is issued when the producer can document that the organic regulations have been complied with from beginning to end.
Rose’s “Ø” labelled chickens are raised according to the regulations for organic production. As such, they only get feed that is compounded according to applicable organic regulations. The chicken flesh does not contain remnants of antibiotics or other pharmaceuticals and it has never been under the influence of GMOs – i.e. genetically modified organisms. Added to this, the chickens are of course, guaranteed free from salmonella.
The “Ø” label also tells the story that the chickens have had a good and natural life. They have had space both indoors and outdoors. Lots of light and fresh air. Free access to tend to their feathers and dust bathing. And they have never had their beaks trimmed but have been able to freely pick and scrape in the soil. Neither has the flock been bigger than the space available to them allows. All of them have had access to feed, fresh water, nests and perches and every single chicken has had all of 4 sq.m. available outdoors. Everything as described in the requirements for organic production.
