The eggs are hatched

Upon arrival at the hatchery the eggs are disinfected once again. They are then placed on trays in an incubator that maintains a constant temperature of 37 degrees. The egg trays are automatically turned several times a day in order to prevent the chicken foetus sticking to the egg shell – in precisely the same way as a hen would turn its eggs when she is hatching them herself.
After 18 days in the incubator, the eggs are transferred to the hatching machine after which the chicks hatch after three days. The chicks are delivered to the chicken producer the day after.
